I live and work in Oporto. I have a degree in Fine Arts — Multimedia from FBAUP and I am finishing my Masters in Sound and Image — Animation at UCP. I have been working for over 6 years with children and teenagers in a drawing and painting studio. I am interested in relating art to several other fields of study, such as education, psychology, sociology and geography, and in relating theory and practice.
I am attracted to the carefree and preconception-free way children see and interpret their surroundings and the way they convey it through speech and drawing. I am very interested in psychology, anthropology and sociology, the study of the mind, dreams, society and communities. I am also concerned with issues related to thinking about territory and spaces, their changes and the implications they have. Empty spaces, industrial structures, highways, heterotopias, but also small hand-built annexes, accidental sculptures, patches.
